WHAT ARE WE PLANNING TO DO?

Our campaign aims to provide some sewing materials to the community in Association for the Disabled (PBOOIL) WP Labuan. Not just that, a printer is needed to ease the teachers in handing out teaching materials for their students.

The pie chart below is our budget plan on why we need to collect funding amount of RM1224.

What is PBOOIL?

Labuan Association for The Disabled (PBOOIL) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that was established in 1995 with an aim to actively safeguard and promote the interest of people with disabilities in Labuan.

PBOOIL consists of six trainer, and 20 special students or trainees. In conjunction with its objectives to provide people with disabilities the opportunity to be equipped with necessary skills and education, as well as to help improve their social, economic, and well-being, we want to raise public awareness toward the association through the Internet platform and thus, helping to improve the connectivity between the association and society or other organizations.

What will the donation be used for?

For this project, we are helping them to raise fund to buy new printer and materials for them to make Sabah traditional clothes. These traditional clothes will be rented to other people and will help the PBOOIL community to generate some income.

Who are we?

Our team, the Hi-5 Girls consisting of several students from Labuan Faculty of International Finance, University Malaysia Sabah (Labuan International Campus) wants to do our part in the society. We are please to help sharing the love and support to them in chasing their dreams at the same time promoting an active and healthy lifestyle.

Risks:

• Funds raised does not reach the target set from total expenses estimated. 
• Secondly, if funds raised exceed more than targeted funds, it might lead to unproductive usage of accumulated funds. However, the excess fund can be used to improve the association’s administration and facilities or to pay for their monthly utilities such as electricity and water bills.
• Thirdly, the risk of getting exposed to COVID-19 while visiting the association for fieldwork.

Challenges:

• The current situation of pandemic COVID-19 which causes a barrier of communication among committee members since we are segregated in different places and some members cannot participate in an online meeting due to poor internet connection.
